Title: Executive Manager
Experience:
Kohei is one of GMO Payment Gateway’s key leaders, driving the company’s equity and debt investment business and leading GMO-PG’s payment gateway expansion across Asia.
He manages the full investment lifecycle including strategic planning, capital allocation, deal sourcing, underwriting and portfolio performance.
His leadership plays a critical role in shaping GMO-PG’s cross-border growth, asset quality, and long-term enterprise value.
Before GMO-PG, Kohei served as COO of an online travel agency in Indonesia, where he led operational turnaround, organizational expansion, and multi-market execution.
He also brings strong institutional experience from Recruit Holdings, one of Japan’s leading technology conglomerates, where he worked in venture capital, product management, and corporate planning — giving him a rare blend of investor insight and product-driven execution capability.
Kohei holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tokyo— combining deep analytical training with hands-on leadership experience across Japan, Southeast Asia, and India.

With over a decade of deep association with India, he brings unmatched on-ground understanding of the market and its fintech ecosystem.
He previously led cross-border building partnership projects across Asia at Hakuhodo, one of Japan’s top advertising groups. Before that, he began his career in Mumbai at one of India’s largest data center companies, gaining early exposure to India’s digital infrastructure landscape.
He brings deep analytical and financial skills strengthened through rigorous CPA-aligned accounting studies, adding strong financial discipline to all investment decisions.

Piyush supports high-growth fintech companies in raising capital and scaling their businesses in India. With 14+ years of experience in the Indian financial industry and over two decades of deep association with Japan, he brings a uniquely cross-border perspective that strengthens GMO-PG’s investment strategy and partnerships while supporting India’s rapidly expanding financial ecosystem.
Previously, he spent over 8 years in corporate banking and strategic planning at one of Japan’s largest global banks, consistently ranked among the top three worldwide, where he worked closely with multinational clients and major financial institutions.
He brings strong analytical discipline and investment insight, backed by an MBA from Hitotsubashi University (Japan) and being a CFA (ICFAI) and a two-time Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship awardee.

LeeRian manages GMO Payment Gateway’s funding operations in India, ensuring seamless execution and supporting the company’s growth across key lending partnerships. She plays a central role in structuring transactions, coordinating with financial institutions, and ensuring smooth capital deployment in the Indian market.
Previously, she worked in GMO-PG’s payment gateway business, where she drove business development and client acquisition as a sales representative, giving her strong commercial intuition and frontline exposure to understanding client needs and fintech ecosystem.

With nearly two decades of experience in the financial industry, Makoto executes debt financing deals in India and supports GMO Payment Gateway’s lending and equity investment activities across Asia, contributing to deal execution, financial analysis, and cross-border strategy.
Previously, he worked at a Big Four accounting firm, providing partnership-building advisory services and supporting clients on strategic transactions and financial due diligence.
During his stint at the Insurance company, he spent four years in India helping manage its joint venture — gaining deep operational experience and a strong, on-ground understanding of the Indian market.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Keio University.

Go manages cross-border debt financing for fintech startups across India and Southeast Asia, helping high-growth companies secure capital and scale into new markets. He also plays a key role in identifying emerging investment opportunities and building strategic partnerships across Asia.
Previously, he led private debt investments in fintech and microfinance across global emerging markets in Asia, Latin America and Europe at a Japanese debt platform, giving him deep exposure to tech driven and frontier-market lending.
He began his career at a prestigious Japanese public finance institution, developing deep expertise in SME lending and international credit programs — a foundation that now strengthens his work in cross-border fintech financing.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Tokyo.

Satoru spearheads GMO Payment Gateway’s Southeast Asia lending business, leading a cross-border team responsible for credit analysis, loan origination, and portfolio management across the region. He plays a central role in shaping GMO-PG’s lending strategy and expanding its presence in high-growth Southeast Asian markets.
Previously, he managed major partner accounts and led the launch of multiple payment-related products at GMO Epsilon, a subsidiary of GMO Payment Gateway—giving him strong operational and product expertise across the digital payments ecosystem.

Masaya drives asset-backed debt financing for lending fintech startups across Southeast Asia and India at GMO Payment Gateway. He oversees the full investment lifecycle—from deal sourcing and due diligence to execution and portfolio monitoring—with a strong focus on advancing financial inclusion.
Prior to his current role, he worked at EY in Tokyo, where he supported financial institutions through strategic research and pre-partnership building due diligence.
Masaya began his career at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in Singapore, focusing on automating reporting processes for institutional investors across Asia.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kwansei Gakuin University and completed an exchange program at the National University of Singapore.

Ammie (Pakaporn) supports the origination of debt financing for fintech lenders across Southeast Asia, contributing to deal evaluation, market research, and the execution of cross-border lending opportunities, as well as ongoing portfolio monitoring to track performance, risks, and covenant compliance.
Previously, she worked as an investment banker at a boutique partnership-building advisory firm, focusing on transaction support and financial feasibility studies across multiple sectors. She also served as a tax consultant at a Big Four accounting firm, advising corporate clients on tax compliance and structuring matters.

Experience:
Eyes (Jipussorn) manages accounting operations for GMO Payment Gateway’s India branch, coordinating closely with clients, vendors, and the head office in Japan. As a bilingual Japanese–Thai professional, she plays a key role in enabling smooth communication and operational alignment across teams in India, Thailand and Japan. Additionally, she oversees core administrative and documentation processes for the Bangkok office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Previously, she worked as a Japanese interpreter in the procurement division of a Japanese manufacturing company in Thailand, and later supported the training and development team at a consulting firm, gaining strong experience in cross-cultural coordination and organizational support.
